We offer UV Sanitation Installations
Our number one priority as a pool company is to ensure the safety and satisfaction of our customers. Installing a UV Sanitizer into your pool will keep you, and your family, safe from disease and contaminants without harming your equipment or your body while you swim.
A Brief History
UV Sanitation has been around since the 1800’s to improve our indoor air quality (IAQ). In 1903 Niels Fensen used UV light to combat tuberculosis; in 1910 the first UV drinking water disinfection system opened in Marseilles, France using his same technology. Ever since then, UV has been used in a wide variety of applications to sanitize and combat organic contaminants and diseases. Majority of our food products, HVAC systems, drinking water, and packaged goods are all sanitized using UV light.
Pool Applications
All water has organic contaminants, even pool water sanitized with chlorine. Even though chlorine is very effective in killing most contaminants, it still does not fend off some common harmful diseases and bacteria. Cryptosporidium, Giardia, and E. Coli can all survive in chlorine sanitized water. That is why we recommend installing UV Sanitation devices into your pools, these diseases and bacteria’s will not survive under a UV light. The UV rays will cause damage to the existing DNA of the virus/bacteria, and it will ensure the DNA does not recombine. Within 10 seconds of your UV device being turned on, most common found bacterium and germicidal will be eradicated from your water; 5 minutes later all remaining contaminants will be eliminated.
UV Sanitation devices require little maintenance, which will save you money annually. The lamp inside the device lasts 12,000 hours, and will require about 40 to 150 Watts to power. Also, with the UV device installed the pool will not require as much chlorine, so you will be preserving your chlorine supplies. Overall, these devices will save you money, and keep your pool clean so you can safely enjoy the outdoors!
